July 05: The US gov. has recently started to instill a mandatory clause for no off shoring in contracts. The US govt.’s decision to stick by the onshore model for two new projects has caused a stir in the Indian IT space, which is heavily dependent on foreign contracts.

MUMBAI, April 11: The HRD ministry’s plan to have a single all-India engineering entrance test seems to have run into rough weather with the IIT faculty opposing its plan to give weightage to Class XII marks during the admission process.

A central committee that visited the IIT-Bombay campus on Monday found it difficult to counter various arguments posed by the faculty against considering Class XII marks. Faculty members said considering Class XII scores and drawing equivalence by a set formula was not fair as the 40 Indian boards were diverse and their curricula as well as assessment rules different.

The candidates who have cleared the Mains Results are now eligible for the final round of the selection process, which is the Interview. The UPSC website has a list of the roll numbers of the successful candidates, who’ve cleared the Main. The Interviews will begin on 19 March at the UPSC office in New Delhi.
